Original Cocktail

Capira

A Martini-style drink with a twist — Dry Gin, Cappelletti, and Blood Orange juice.

The mix

I started using the normal base of a Martini — Dry Gin and Dry Vermouth.

Spirit

The spirit was a mix of Dry Gin with Cappelletti, which also plays a role in the sweetness.

Sweetness

The Cappelletti plays its part here alongside the Dry Vermouth, which links very well with the Dry Gin. I feel they are doing their job.

Acidity & Bitterness

A few drops of lime juice mixed with a few drops of Orange bitter allows a fun game of flavors that smooths everything out — you can really enjoy it!

Dilution

If you want to really enjoy it as a very smooth drink, shake it with the Blood Orange juice and a lot of ice!

Glassware

Serve them in coupes. The red of the drink in a blue glass looks very pretty.

Instructions

  1. To make it better, shake the Dry Gin, Dry Vermouth, and Cappelletti before and put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the drink base with the drops of Orange bitter and shake them with ice.
  3. Add the Blood Orange juice, stir it, and serve.
  4. You can add flamed Orange skin to the drink for a finishing touch.
